All birders are welcome to enhance the experience and see more birds. The Traylor Ranch Nature Preserve affords an opportunity to see the resident and migratory species of the lower foothills and valley floor. Join me on a flat, easy 2 hour walk to look for Nuttall’s, Hairy, Downy, and Acorn Woodpeckers, Flickers, California and Spotted Towhees, Western Bluebirds, Red-tailed, Red-shouldered, and Coopers Hawks, and other seasonal birds. We usually see anywhere from 25–40 species at this location.

Meet at 8:30 AM in the parking lot off Humphrey Rd. From I-80 take the 193/Newcastle exit to Taylor Rd to west on English Colony Way (look for the Valencia Club on the northwest corner).  Wind your way through Penryn and then turn left on Humphrey.  Go 1/4 mile and turn right into the parking lot. If weather is questionable contact leader.
