Meet in the Cascade Canal Trail parking lot about ¼ mile down Gracie Road from Banner Lava Cap Road (NOT the one at the corner of Gracie and BLCR). We will see what winter species we can find at the 3,200-foot elevation, quite different from those of lower elevations. Expect woodpeckers, kinglets, parids, etc. The canal trail is level, but the Woodpecker Preserve loop involves about a 200 ft elevation change. About 2 miles round trip. Call if in doubt about the weather.
