All birders are welcome to enhance the experience and see more birds. The Traylor Ranch Nature Preserve affords an opportunity to see resident and migratory species of the lower foothills and valley floor. Black-headed Grosbeaks, Yellow-breasted Chats, flickers, warblers, California and Spotted Towhees, Western Bluebirds, Red-tailed, Red-shouldered, and Cooper’s Hawks. Meet at 8:30 am in the parking lot off Humphrey Rd at the southeast corner of Traylor Ranch Nature Reserve and Bird Sanctuary in Penryn. From I-80 take the 193/Newcastle exit to Taylor Rd go west to English Colony Way (look for the Valencia Club on the northwest corner). Wind your way through Penryn and then turn left on Humphrey.
