This is a co-Placer Land Trust–Sierra Foothills Audubon Society event. The Placer Land Trust “Events” web site will advertise it about three to four weeks before the event. https://placerlandtrust.org/calendar/. Please sign up through the Land Trust to attend; they will provide information for where to meet.
Clover Valley is one of the last remaining intact sections of oak woodlands in western Placer County. The valley includes a rich wildlife corridor along a small year-round creek, with wetlands, beaver-dammed ponds, and open meadows. We will stroll along farm roads but will also be on rough paths through tall grasses; please wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Approximately 2.5 miles of walking, no significant elevation change. There are no facilities on the property. Enrollment limited to 12 people. Heavy rain will cancel event.
