Ted Beedy discusses his new book: Birds of the Sierra Nevada

You will be entertained and informed by this presentation about the identification, status, and natural history of birds in the Sierra Nevada, which includes a virtual transect of the range from the oak savanna in the west, through serene conifer forests of the west side, up into the majestic alpine regions, and down the steep eastern escarpment to the Great Basin. Along the way we’ll see and hear the stunning diversity of birds that make the Sierra their home. Ted’s talk will be illustrated by his own photographs and illustrations of Sierra birds by Keith Hansen.

Doors will open at 6:30, meeting starts at 7:00. As we will have no idea of Covid status at that time, be prepared by having proof of vaccination and a mask in your pocket and hope that we don’t need either. Check our website or our Facebook page for updates, or call program chair Theresa Thomas 530-264-6742.  There will be a Zoom option available to view the meeting at home.  An email will be sent to all members with the link.
