Part one of a two-part field trip series coinciding with the leaders’ Sierra College Community Education class, Nevada County Birding ‘Hot Spots’, but open to all. Meet in the parking lot of the Rood Government Center, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City. This fast-paced field trip will transect western Nevada County and is designed to show area birders where Big Day veterans go to find a maximum number of species in a short space of time. The route

runs from Bridgeport State Park to Lake-of-the-Pines wastewater plant. Bring a lunch. Required: contact Rudy or Ted to reserve a spot.
