All donations to the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer run organization will be used for:

#1 Scientific research (Sierra and Central Valley birds)

#2 Habitat preservation

#3 Educational purposes (teaching classes, teaching aids, booths at events like street fairs and for youth scholarships to attend conferences and ornithology related classes/events).

Looking for something to give that person who has everything? A donation to the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society can be made in honor of a friend or relative or restricted to a specific use.  Donations to Sierra Foothills Audubon Society will be acknowledged personally to the donor and a note sent to an honoree if requested. We will acknowledge all donations with our tax exempt number so the donor has the required receipt for tax purposes.

An additional way you may help the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society achieve it’s mission is by creating a legacy through planned giving in your estate planning. Your donation might fund research, habitat preservation, educational programs or a program of your choosing. There are a variety of options to ensure that a legacy gift passed on to Sierra Foothills Audubon Society through your estate can be used. You may designate a legacy gift to be used as a lump sum, meted out over a number of years or there is an option where your gift is available for use today and you receive income for life. There is something for everyone!

Thank you in advance for considering a gift to the Sierra Foothills Audubon Society.

Western Bluebird

Sierra Foothills Audubon Society received significant bequests from Irene Schnaus and Gayle Carlsmith to be used to help achieve the goals of SFAS. We also have utilized several smaller bequests. The Sansome family has ensured the perpetual maintenance of their conservation easement by a contribution.
